Someone once said that nothing is as over as Christmas.  Ain't that the truth. 

The question now is what we are going to do with the knowledge that God is here, now, in the world with us.  For spiritually curious and engaged people there is now a mandate that our convictions be reflected in our connections.  What would it mean for you to live like that Christ child is watching you, learning from you, discovering from you what a faithful life looks like as he grows up?

But before we get all jumpy about God looking over our shoulders, it is important to remember that this is for us.  Jesus does what he does, in scripture and in the world today, so that we can find relief from the broken world.  Connecting with him and his mission is all about finding wholeness and--dare we say the word?--salvation in the midst of a world that would keep us distracted, discouraged, and deflated.  That's not what we were made for.
